Domestic Mediation LLC was founded in 2010 by Mediator James Abron. We are a successor company to earlier conflict resolution firms managed by Mr. Abron who has been an arbitrator since 1995 and mediator since 2005. We provide mediation, arbitration, fact-finding, negotiation, conflict coaching, and ombudsman services to individuals, private companies and governmental organizations.
Our principal, James Abron has mediated commercial contract dispute cases, insurance cases, and construction cases. Additionally, Mr. Abron has mediated private divorce cases, post divorce disputes and domestic PPO's. He understands the damaging effects of divorce, having witnessed the effects on his own family. He is a qualified State Court Administrative Office Domestic Relations and General Civil Mediator under Michigan Court Rule 3.216 and 2.411. Mr. Abron previously worked as a pro bono mediator for the Wayne County Friend of the Court. He has been a Motion Day mediator in the 7th Judicial Circuit Family Court in Flint, Michigan. Mediator James Abron adheres to the Model Standards of Practice for Family and Divorce Mediation. A copy may be downloaded HERE. James is the holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California. Mr. Abron completed the Certificate program in Conflict Resolution at Schoolcraft College. Additionally, James is a Certified Professional Coach, completing programs at the School of Coaching Mastery in St. Louis, MO, the Fowler Wainwright Institute of Professional Coaching, and the Workplace Coach Institute. Mr. Abron is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan and California, a Project Management Professional (PMI), and a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CSI). _ |
